Charles Weston & Sons UK is a family run business specialising in oak interior doors and solid oak furniture.  All of our oak interior doors and solid oak furniture is handmade by our expertly trained craftsmen.

Hand Crafted Oak Interior Doors

The growth in restoration of period properties by discerning home owners has led to a desire for truly authentic details in architectural products. With this in mind, Charles Weston & Sons UK have successfully designed and produced a range of ledged oak interior doors with a distressed and waxed finish which have a totally convincing patina of age.

This finish has been developed and perfected by Ian Weston over many years; initially in the restoration of early oak furniture, and currently in making replicas of 17th and early 18th Century solid oak furniture.
 

Solid Oak Furniture

To ensure the accuracy of our designs we have been assisted by historic buildings consultant Annabelle Hughes Ph.D., who has fully researched all aspects of the construction and style of our doors.

The designs are particularly suited to timber-framed and stone-built houses of the 15th to early 18th Centuries, and are made to measure to accommodate the diversity of sizes and shapes of existing door surrounds to be found in houses this period. In some cases it is possible for us to copy the patterns of original doors already in place. All our oak interior doors can equally be installed in any modern door frame.

In addition to the doors we can make period door hinges and latches to match your doors style and requirements.  We are also able to produce vertical planked oak wall panelling to dado height with the same unique finish.
